To ensure all
children are able to benefit from the Boys & Girls Club, a child's membership fee is
kept extremly low, at only $5 a year.
Because the membership fee pays
for only 1% of the cost of providing services to each youth, the support of the local
community is critical to our being able to offer programming to our members.
Alternatives
The Club's mission is to make a
difference in the lives of our North Platte youth now to prevent
the unhealthy alternatives that come from lack of self-esteem and supportive environments.
The cost of this proactive
approach is surprisingly inexpensive. For example, the cost of supporting one youth for
one year at Kearney's Youth Rehabilitation and Training Center (YRTC) is over $51,000.
Alternatively, the cost of providing a child a year of preventative support and
programming at the Boys & Girls Club is only $500. . . roughly the cost of YRTC from
Monday morning to Thursday noon.
Which is best for the child?
501(c)(3)
The Boys & Girls
Club of Lincoln County is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All financial contributions
will be tax-deductible. |
